Defect Summary:
Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, LLC (BATO) is recalling certain FS561 replacement tires, size 255/70R22.5, manufactured January 25, 2015, to January 27, 2016 (DOT weeks 0515-0416) for use on trailers. The affected tires may experience possible tread separation or detachment due to scrubbing during use. Consequence Summary:
Tread separation or detachment may result in a sudden loss of air pressure, increasing the risk of a crash. Corrective Summary:
BATO will notify owners, and dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. The recall began on February 4, 2016. Owners may contact BATO customer service at 1-800-847-3272. Recall Notes:
