Defect Summary:
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTORCYCLES. FOLLOWING AN ACCIDENT IMPACT, WELD FRACTURES CAN OCCUR ON THE MAIN FRAME IN THE HEAD STOCK AREA.

Consequence Summary:
THIS MAIN FRAME SHOULD NOT FRACTURE BUT BEND AFTER AN IMPACT.

Corrective Summary:
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THESE FRAMES WITH NEWLY MANUFACTURED FRAMES.

Recall Notes:
OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN OCTOBER 1, 1997.OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR MOTORCYCLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT TRIUMPHAT 1-678-854-2010.ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-800-424-9393.
