Problem/Hazard
The jackets have a drawstring through the hood which can pose a strangulation hazard to children. In February 1996, CPSC issued guidelines (pdf) to help prevent children from strangling or getting entangled on the neck and waist drawstrings in upper garments, such as jackets or sweatshirts.

Description
The recalled children’s hooded fleece jackets for ages 6-12 were sold in sizes M through XXL in black, navy, and heather gray royal blue. Brand names Golden Grove or Young USA, style number 20K, and RN number 106197 are printed on a tag on the jacket’s collar.

Remedy
Consumers should immediately remove the drawstrings from the sweatshirts to eliminate the hazard, or return the garment to the place of purchase or to Golden Grove Trading for a full refund.
